I bought Cyansky HS6R to use in free dental clinics and work.
HS6R has multiple led emitters. The main one is LUMINUS SST 40. It is designed with a fresnel lens and a smooth reflector. This allows a tighter beam that I can use to illuminate patient’s mouth. I like HS6R because the light temperature is more neutral and easier on my eyes. HS6R has a secondary light that is SST 20 and equipped with a flood lens. This provides a very broad flood light with no hot center beam. I don’t use this flood light much in the clinic. But when it is dark at night, I use it to light up the parking lot when walking to the car.
HS6R is using a protected 18650 Li ion rechargeable battery and has a USB C port to recharge the battery. This is important because during the treatment when the battery is low, I can use the light and charge the battery at the same time.
HS6R has 4 brightness levels for the main light. I only use the first 2 brightness levels. The other 2 are too bright for my need. Overall, HS6R is a solid headlamp but a little heavy. I have been using this light at work and has not develop any problem at all. 5 star

Excellent headlamp. My new favorite! Relatively lightweight and very bright. Battery life so far has been more than adequate.

I’ve seen reviews mentioning the weight of the headlamp, but this unit weighs more or less the same as a nitecore or Fenix. For a unit that is machined aluminum and carries an 18650 battery, the weight comes with the territory. If you’re main goal is a very light weight headlamp for long hikes, consider a light weight plastic unit with a smaller battery, like the black diamond. Just understand that while you get a lighter unit, you won’t get the illumination that’s the compromise for light weight. I bought this one, because I wanted a full red lamp for walking to my tree stand, and I wanted the additional throw just in case I wanted to do a quick search for a deer. In addition, I like it for e biking and for landing my boat in the dark. If I want something very light for any reason, I’ll just buy a cheapo that I can also use as a spare.
I like the single headband better than the 3 part band. I’ve used both, and I find the 3 band hard to adjust, especially when I’m not wearing a hat.
This unit has an elegant design. The buttons are easy to access by feel alone, there is a “battery full” indicator when charging, it’s a Type C charger (big plus for me), and the red lamp only option is brighter than most that I have seen. The light is comparable to Fenix or nitecore in that there are multiple modes of brightness, and they’re all close enough in illumination as not to get into a nitpicking contest. All in all, a very nice unit, and better than my nitecore.
